Just in time for summer, I am professing my love for the color yellow. Why? It’s the color of sunshine – happy, bright, and very exciting. With minerals, I happen to share the same love with yellow!
Why? In the cosmetics book, anything yellow brightens – meaning, it can brighten, undereye circles! The result? The look of being extremely well-rested, and definitely takes years off the age! Now, dark undereye circles are so darn normal nowadays that everyone has them because of stress, and this issue must not be ignored because it just makes someone look so tired, haggard, and…gasp. Old!
One choice pick for my yellow mineral to neutralize and brighten the under eye area? Oceanmist’s Saffron Concealer. So much rave reviews have reached my ear that I decided to get a full pot without even roadtesting samples. I was far from disappointed! I use my trusty crease blending brush to lightly sweep the concealer on the sides of my eye area, my undereye area, and sometimes even the lid area.
Result? Way, way fabulous. Try it and apply the concealer on an eye, and compare. One eye would definitely look better than another. Instant eye-lift, guaranteed! Another product that can make the eyes a whole lot brighter? Check out Monave’s Buttercup. It makes a great overall lidwash, undereye corrector, and eye makeup base!
Now, yellow minerals do not only counteract undereye circle problems. They also help neutralize redness. Red Zapper by Valerie Beauty is my favorite in this department. Take note that Red Zapper does not mean that your angry, red zit could be calmed just like that. It’s actually for the red areas in your face! I admit that I do have some, and upon using the foundation brush to sweep it on my “red” areas, voila, instant no-red zones anymore! I was wowed by its effectivity in neutralizing redness.
To sum it up, I am further encouraging everyone to get their own dose of yellow minerals! I promise you, this will make your days a whole lot brighter!
