I was home on a Saturday night. Must have been the headache induced by my statistics class earlier in the day that made me just want to have some quality time with myself. And what better way to nurse a headache than to play with mineral makeup!
So I cleaned my face and did the usual routine, sans sunblock (it was already 8pm that time). It was also a good opportunity to test the sample of Coastalscents foundation in Honey light tan. I wasn’t expecting it to be a match, but it was! It blended well with my skin despite the fact that I just had a major breakout, thanks to my upcoming monthly period. And let me tell you, Coastalscents foundation is by far the most finely milled I have ever used! Just by looking at the pot, there is no chunkiness or clumps of minerals.
Back to my eye look, I was thinking of something pinkish to go with Valerie Beauty MPM’s in Wink and Karma. I then reached for Meow Scandal Eyes in Tenacious, described as “Peach w/golden bronze shimmer.” It’s one of my fave lid colors as it complements neutrals, even greens! Using my eye shadow brush, I applied it on my whole lid.

Next, I dampened my e/s brush with some moisture mist and picked up some of Valerie Beauty MPM’s in Karma. To me, Karma looks peachy-pink with lots of golden shimmer (okay, I made that description up. Tee hee!). I applied this color to the outer half of my lids.
Wink, which is actually one of Val’s top picks, is a nice baby pink color with that golden hue. Goes on sheer when applied dry, but it turns into a vivid color when foiled! Definitely a must-have for those into eye looks!
To highlight my brow bone, I got Monave’s Multi-purpose Minerals in Light Gold and applied it wet too.
And tadah! Here’s a sneak preview:

And to complete the whole look, I applied my latest indelible gel liner: Tanzanite.
Who would’ve thought a rich plum-winey shade would go quite well with peaches, pinks and gold? I decided to skip on the mascara and just curl my lashes since I was just staying home for the rest of the evening. The whole look was dramatic enough, I didn’t want to take it off when it was time to sleep. Haha!

What I absolutely love about these multipurpose minerals is that they allow me to explore and express that creative, artistic side of me. I really can’t draw or paint, might as well apply makeup!
