Aside from my obsession with blush, I sort of have a thing for compacts too. One of the

MMU-related “compact” I have is Bare Escentuals Flawless Face Case.

During a random visit online to Sephora, I chanced upon BE’s newest addition to its family: the Flawless Face Case. And I told myself that I just gotta’ have it!

So I did get one from Claud of Bare Beauty. It came with nice, simple packaging, the carton box itself serves to protect what’s inside. And lo and behold! There it was, in elegant black and really sleek. It’s like a jewelry box, much more like a musical box that once you open it, a tune plays and the ballerina starts to dance. Such a pretty sight!

I was so excited to use it, that I brought it with me to work one day. My co-workers/friends found it cute as well, especially the baby buki brush that came with it. And then came “the question,” how much was it? The price, which I’m not going to divulge here made their eyes grew wide in shock. I totally understand why they probably won’t spend much on something like that.

The opportunity came to put the flawless face case to the test. An ordinary day in March, and summer is just beginning to make its presence felt. I was making my way in Manila, doing a research paper for my post-grad studies. What better way to get around the metro than in a jeepney! The heat of the sun mixed with dust and smoke was enough to make me grab my oil blotting papers. I knew I had to do my touch-ups. The only time I had was in-between jeepney rides. Good thing I brought the face case with me. It’s compact enough to fit inside my handbag. It’s really handy for the girl on-the-go. The medium-sized mirror is enough to give you a good view of your face. I finished touching up with some finishing powder (mineral veil) in a jiffy, without so much hassle! I was ready again to face the world knowing that I don’t look greasy or harassed at all. Okay, next destination! :p

Having the flawless face case with me when I’m out proves to be very convenient. And besides, I won’t be getting as many strange looks when I take out my dainty little saucer that acts as a mixing bowl. The flip top that opens already serves as an adequate area for mixing or swirling your minerals, whatever they may be.

It’s really worth getting the flawless face case if you’re the kind who wants convenience and something handy all rolled into one. Did I mention the baby buki does not disappoint? For the girl on-the-go, this one’s a great addition to your make-up arsenal.
