My Favorite BareFaced Minerals’ Shade : Cinnabear

As I continue to roadtest mineral makeup here, I discover more and more precious gems that are certainly for keepers, and one of them is from the brand BareFaced Minerals – the shade of Cinnabear. Whoever inspired Rhonda to come up with this shade should be worshipped. No, seriously! The picture might be a lil matte, but if you see it up close, it’s a beautiful beautiful shade ! I promise! ( I don’t usually rave without good reason *wink* )

From the BareFaced Minerals Website, Cinnabear blush is described as,

Cinnamon in color; red/brown with a hint of plum in the distance.
A perfect blush or bronzer. Semi-Matte finish.

For me, this is more of a colored bronzer. I really really like the idea of colored bronzers ( well, I might have invented the term haha! ) like Beach Bunny by Pure Luxe that I declare as a pink bronzer, and Cinnabear can be considered a reddish bronzer. It’s a fusion of golden brown and red when swiped on the back of my hand, though not the dark red – it’s more of sheer red that’s not scary, or too tricky to use. It’s not bright red, which everyone is usually afraid of – it’s one of the safest reds I’ve ever encountered!

When swiped on my cheeks, that’s another story – it gives the most beautiful flush of color – so so natural! It is semi-matte so there are some hints of shimmer, but shimmer’s not too noticeable, and thank God it’s not too matte that it looks fake. Overall, this is one of the best blushes that I’ve ever tried, that I don’t mind using over and over again!

Oh, I almost forgot! This has great staying power – let’s face it, almost every mineral blush don’t last long, but this just stays a wee bit longer, though it doesn’t stay forever.

If you love Cinnabear blush, then a must-try is their Cinnabear Lippy Stix. It’s a lipbalm and lip color in one, and it gives you the most beautiful lips, a little bit on the dark red with a touch of brown. When did color and moisturizing properties ever fuse and work so well? Better get one now!
