Skin Alison Raffaele Fast Forward Acne Response Primer is one of those unique primers that is different from the ones that I’ve been using. First, its texture is a bit different from the ones I’m accustomed to. Second, it promises to prevent acne as it is being applied on your skin, and it also has SPF ( 15 ) ! Now who wouldn’t want those added benefits?
Skin Alison Raffaele Fast Forward Acne Response Primer, when I first pumped some product out, looks like a moisturizer because it is colored white. When applied to the skin, it feels silicone-ish ( somewhat silky ) but if you compare it with silicone-based primers like Smashbox, Bare Escentuals , Pure Luxe, etc., this is definitely lighter and less concentrated. This somewhat feels like MAC Prep and Prime with a bit more silicone.
As for the performance, I’d have to say that it definitely does its job of perfecting the skin as canvass for mineral makeup application, adding some staying power to the mineral makeup applied, and as for the oilies, I think it does a moderate job in doing it ( I still think that my skin is hopeless. haha! ). With the luxurious texture of the Acne Response Primer, this is what I reach for during normal days when I’m off to a meeting or when I’m really in a hurry because of the nice feeling it leaves on my skin. I’ve been accustomed to thick silicone-based primers like Pure Luxe , and I do have to say that they work quite well! But there are also days when I would want something light.
I would recommend this primer for those who have acne prone skin, perhaps this is a great everyday primer for you. For normal skin, still very nice for anti-acne and smoother mineral makeup application. It’s also loaded with antioxidants that skin is refreshed, as makeup is being applied on top of it.
