Mineral Makeup Review : Oceanmist Cosmetics Mineral Foundation

I was able to stock up some Oceanmist products a few months ago as they had a buy one, take one sale on their products. Mineral makeup sales are just so darn tempting because the promos are so generous! I was able to buy 2 full pots of Saffron Undereye Concealer (yeah, one can never have too much of this, this is a miracle worker ), and I decided to try again their foundation. Months ago, when Oceanmist first opened, they had limited shades, that hindered me from getting my shade. With their additional shades that had golden ( or yellow ) undertones in them, I was able to pick two shades to try : Lilia and Dandelion

Lilia , at first look seemed a shade too light for me as it was for fairly golden skin toned people. So, I proceeded to open the jar of Dandelion, which was light in shade, and golden in tone. The coverage of Oceanmist foundations are light to medium, but the finish it provides is pretty impressive. I was amazed on how smooth my skin looked considering it was breakout central for me for a few weeks now ( with my dermatologist allowing me to purge, darn ), and it was just instant smoothness on the skin, but of course, I needed to conceal the target areas with something heavier in coverage. This has such a light feel that I love wearing this on Sundays when I don’t really feel like wearing any makeup at all and I’m just going to the market, or places nearby. I think I made the right choice of buying a full pot because I was able to get it for a buy one take one promo, and it really is a nice choice of foundation.

For an extremely oily and coverage needy skin like mine, it stayed for a good 3-4 hours on me. People with normal skin would definitely enjoy this. To summarize, this is a great mineral foundation that has a super pro of having an amazingly flawless finish, that gives a very light feel to the skin.

Who’s tried Oceanmist? I’d love to hear from you!

I have been usingOceanmist foundation in Vanilla for quite awhile now and Im loving it. Ive used BE, Monave, EDM before but somehow I was’t getting what I want from those MMU mentioned. I can say that I have found my HG foundie in OM, not to mention the price is pretty good.

I have not tried these products yet, but I would like to give them a shot. I have had a lot of success with Artistry brand makeup through Amway. They offer a mineral makeup as well and works wonderfully with my light skin tone.

My top pick is also Ocean Mist mineral makeup. They have a very inexpensive try-it size kit which has several shades of foundation, a blush and even offer a brush if needed..all for the price of postage. I was very impressed with what they offered. I’d put them up against any of the higher priced products on the market.
