Mineral Makeup Afficionado Joyce has been roadtesting minerals left to right, and has found a gem in Milan’s Oil at Bay. Here’s her entry about it!

I tried Milan Minerals Oil at Bay or as I fondly called OAB, and I was stunned. It really controlled my oilies. Ever since then, I have been raving about it! I enabled some of my girlfriends and they too attest to its effectivity.

Now, before you gals head off to the website and order one thinking that it will literally stop your oils, read this one first! It says in the site that if one has truly oily skin, NO product is really going to change that, but one can always do something to make it less of a chore. The claim is that one will be oil-free for at least 4 hours. Ingredients are the following: Calcium Carbonate, Allantoin(sp) Kaolin Clay and Boron Nitride.

I ordered a sample of it first, thinking that if it doesn’t work, it wont hurt my pocket because samples are inexpensive at $1 for a 1/2teaspoon. I tried it, and I was amazed. I was amazed at the fact that it controlled my oil for longer than the 4 hours. I always have combination skin ( oily at t zone, semi-sensitive) and sampling after sampling, couldn’t find that elusive product that will help in oil reduction. At that very moment, It feels like I found a goldmine( Ding! Ding! Ding!). I tried wearing it at public places (humidity overkill) and centralized air-conditioned ones(lovely!), and I am happy every time, because I don’t blot as much as I used to before. It really helped to keep the oil at bay for me! I definitely recommend this to anyone who have problems controlling the oilies.

I can also attest to this product’s effectivity as it has controlled my oil control problem better than other minerals. My skin is way far from perfect, and OAB hasn’t completely controlled my oilies because of my extreme skin condition, but hey, I felt some control, and that is remarkable!
