I was playing around with Lumiere eye makeup last Sunday, as I was trying to compose a great purple EOTD as my blouse was well, colored violet. ( haha! ) I had so much fun because Lumiere’s eye shadows are the silkiest in texture, and the staying power is good – it isn’t too pigmented that would give off too intense colors, but not too light that it wouldn’t show up.

I was about to post an EOTD ( Eye of the Day ) but the colors wouldn’t show up when I used my camera! It was too unfortunate because my friends complimented on how great my eye makeup looked. Somebody, help me in the photography department!

I’m picking a few great shades of Lumiere’s Eye Shimmers, and will review them one by one :

Charmed – Charmed is a great base. It’s the perfect low-shimmer mineral , which is nude-pink. This is a great way to start your eye makeup routine. I applied this first all over my lids, for some layering by deeper colors later.

Light Plum – Light Plum is a great wine color that is semi-shimmery. I applied this on my outer-V, and it is not light at all! This deep shade could even be used for smokey eye makeup application.

Heiress- among all the shades that I have tried ( not just these included in the entry ) , Heiress is a great discovery ! It’s a beautiful, beautiful coppery pink shade that is not too teenybopperish pink. Wherelse can you find such sophisticated color of shimmery pink? Definitely, Heiress is a winner. Kim might have gotten some inspiration from Paris Hilton to come up with this shade. Haha! Anyway, I applied this on the other half of my lid ( the inner V area ). It blended beautifully with Light Plum.

Wicked – Wicked is also a beautiful plum color that I blended on my crease area, to blend with Light Plum and Heiress. It’s semi-shimmery too, and it is more vivid in color than Light Plum, which makes a great transition shade in the eye area!

Champagne- This is described as nude frosty brown with silver sparkle. I love this shade alot for this is great for being an eyeshadow base or a browbone highlighter. I used this to highlight my browbone, as its shimmery shade makes my eye makeup all complete!

I encourage everyone to try and get some samples of Lumiere’s eye makeup. With mineral eye shadows, Lumiere is one great contender for coming up with the best quality, with its incredibly silky, and beautiful colors!
