To Natural Makeup Queen: You are absolutely correct. I will not disagree with you. Lauress is good. This is an old review and yes, I agree with you that the 1/2 priced brand is inferior in some ways to other MMUs with slightly higher prices. I realize that now after several weeks of trying out different MMUs. We all have our different preferences with regard to MMU, we have our different reasons for using different brands.

Natural Makeup Queen : I appreciate your opinion on this matter. :) Well, there are really some girls who prefer low-priced minerals, with their stand being, minerals are minerals! :) As for me, I appreciate every brand that I try, low-priced, reasonably priced, as long as it doesnt come with a $60 a pot pricetag :) My best bud absolutely adores Lauress ( review to be up soon ), and is sticking with it for the rest of her life, as she claims :)

I am a new Lauress user and have to agree with your comments about it being amazing. However, I find it odd that you contradict yourself based entirely on price. You say Lauress is unlike any mineral makeup you have tried and the finishing powder is amazing and unique, yet you then say Lauress has nothing new to offer. Seems to me you are basing entirely on ingredients list and price rather then feel, texture, finish, basically all the things that really matter. I have tried every MMU out there (as of last month I am sure there are new ones now lol) and I was not impressed with that 1/2 priced brand you mentioned. I find Lauress, barefaced, Monave, BE all to be very resonibly priced (and despite weight differences you pretty much get the same amount in each brands pots) and worth the money, while the cheaper brands just aren't meeting my standards of quality. Anyway, I was just surprised that you were so pleased with this brand but the price was all that seemed to matter. There are many many many more expensive brands out there and in my opinion the brands that cost between $20 and $30 for a foundation are competatively priced.

I used to use Bare Escentuals, but now I have converted to Sweetscents minerals. They are MUCH higher quality and MUCH cheaper. You can purchase them direct at sweetscents.com or you can check out their store on eBay called SnowmanDCE Bare Minerals. They are fantastic! You won't regret trying a sample pack of the minerals. I love using the pigments for wet eyeliner, or very natural dry eyeliner, and foiling is an absolute pleasure and a breeze with these minerals. What I prefer about them is how easily they blend and apply to the skin. Plus, they last all day. They are my holy grail cosmetics for sure. On their websites you can try all different sampler packs. The pots come FULL with minerals that last forever. Check them out. I highly recommend.

I currently use Mineral Secrets loose base and Lauress blush and eye shadows and love them, but they are costly. You mentioned there are other brands out there that are just as good at half the cost...care to share which brands those are? Any money I can save on such good make-up is worth it! Thanks!
