Mineral Makeup Review : Larenim Mineral Airbrush Pressed Foundation

First, let me just say that I love, love, love mineral makeup. I have a stack of makeup here that aren’t mineral that I use for shoots or weddings because mineral makeup in loose form’s messy, but then, loose mineral makeup is still my favorite kind. Some girls want to have a dose of some pressed mineral makeup because of its travel-friendliness, and here’s a review of the Larenim Mineral Airbrush Pressed Foundation.

Larenim is the brand that I absolutely adore for its mineral finishing powders Invisi-Pore and Mineral Silk. I swear, they’re the best finishing powders on earth! They make my skin look really airbrushed, dewy, and incredibly photogenic, I love it. Now, I’m trying their pressed powder. I think I’ve mentioned that I have tried it in the past already, but I think it wasn’t my shade. So, when I grabbed hold of 4-wm, a shade for medium skintones, I immediately tried it.

I used a flat top brush as an applicator for the Larenim Mineral Airbrush Pressed Foundation, and I could see that the texture was very fine ( not coarse ), and it went on sheerly on the first layer. I had a difficult time getting product on my brush as the pressed mineral seemed to have hardened ( I dont know if it’s me, or the item that I’ve gotten hold of was old already ) It took me about four applications to see some coverage, and yes, it really provided an airbrush finish, but my issue is it might be better for those who have good skin because of the initially sheer coverage. The coverage is light, but buildable, and it stays on just okay on the skin. There’s a bit of a foreign smell to it, but it is associated with the natural preservative that they use that is not paraben.

To sum up, I will be able to use the Larenim Mineral Airbrush Pressed Foundation when I’m in a hurry. This seems good for touchups. But I’d really really prefer using full coverage mineral loose powders since they work best for me!

I use the Larenim Pressed Foundation and absolutely LOVE IT!!! The texture is perfect and the coverage is impeccable! I read the review that talks about it being so hard and wanted to mention that there was a batch of one shade last year that was too hard but this has been corrected back into perfection.
