I must say that Jane Iredale wins by a landslide on being the best mineral makeup in pressed form. I heart heart heart Jane Iredale Pure Pressed Base!

How do I love thee, my pressed powder? Let me count the ways. Like a lover, I can enumerate the traits that I like in it ( wow, someone’s being mushy here ! Forgive me, folks! )
1. First, when you see the person for a first time, let’s face it, we all check out their looks first. With the packaging of Jane Iredale Pure Pressed Base, it is undeniably a true winner! With the beautiful, classy gold packaging, you’d be proud to bring it with you anywhere for touchups! It’s your bling! Hahaha!
2. Second, when the person seems appealing to you, you would want to get to know more about him/her. Would you want to “know more” about Jane Iredale Pure Pressed Base? I’m sure you would because you would be far from disappointed! The coverage, for me, is a little bit heavier than the usual foundations that have sheer coverage like Bare Escentuals, but it’s not totally full coverage like Monave. It borders in between, and for some who need extreme coverage, Liquid Minerals and concealer are recommended. This further evens out the look, and could be the last layer of foundation to be used. It’s really really great to have this around because your skin would just look really creamy and flawless with this!
3. Third, when two people click, they sometimes get into a relationship. In a relationship, for it to be healthy and meant-to-be, it must make each participating party bloom. With Jane Iredale Pure Pressed Base, it clearly brings out the best in anyone! I promise! I loveeee the way I look with it, like my skin is in its best with this.
Okay, after my analogies with love, I’d babble some more about it. I was sent a Pure Pressed Base in Golden Glow for review , and I was somehow afraid that it would be too dark for me. Turns out, I could wear ( and you could wear, too ) alot of shades here! I could wear Warm Silk and Golden Glow ( I’m a Bare Escentuals Light ) , like my other friend could wear Ivory and Radiant ( she’ wears Monave Caroline ), and so forth. The spectrum of these shades are very broad for we could wear two or three shades and still look great. I have no trouble whatsoever in terms of the coverage and finish, as I am clearly, overwhelmingly impressed. With regards to oil control, applying their Jane Iredale Absence Oil Control Primer prior to applying foundation to further control oil, and finishing it off with your trusty oil control finishing powder would be a great help -specially for insanely oily skinned gals like me. But some, actually use this as their finishing powder, which is okay, too.
Overall, no complaints from me. Clearly smitten with this baby.

I’ve been using Bare Escentuals and would really, really like to switch to Jane Iredale’s Pressed Base. I am in Alaska so I’ll need to order online. But I need help choosing the correct color. I have light skin, with a slightly olive cast: Bare Escentuals #2 (Light) has been a reasonably good match for me, if a tad yellow. (I tried Barely Light & looked washed out)What color in Jane’s line would be most equivalent to this? I’ve seen light olive skin classed as both cool or neutral, but the pinky tones of cool colors don’t usually look quite right. Help!
Hi!
Warm Silk, or Golden Glow for you! ( The Pressed Variant, since Golden Glow’s darker in the loose variant )
I’ve used both and they both work well, we’re skin twins! I’m BE Light and with yellow undertones
Thanks! I had emailed Jane Iredale site, and asked what shade was closest the the BE Light….& they suggested Warm Sienna, which looked quite a bit darker than BE Light to me. ~=o/
hi, do you know who and/or where can i purchase jane iredale products here in manila? i would love to try them base from your reviews
Hello!! I’m currently using Bare Escentuals Medium Tan shade and I really want to try out Jane Iredale’s foundations. I don’t live in the US so its really difficult for me to gauge what shade I should get. Also, I’ve got yellow undertonas as well! Any suggestions? Thanks!!
Hi Jessica. I use BE Medium Tan and tested a lot of Jane’s pressed colours. I have yellow undertones and tan easily and Medium Tan matches my body in Summer. Jane’s Pressed Caramel looked the same.
