Being the mineral makeup addict that I am, I’ve tried quite a number of mineral makeup brands. The latest that I have tried is Dreamworld Minerals. This company’s theme is mythological and ethereal making their product names interesting. What do I have to say about this company?
First of all, their customer service is amazing! Ellie is probably the most helpful mmu owner out there who tries to help each and every Dreamworld customer get their perfect match. You really can not ask for anything more. Second, their website is very pretty (that’s why it won the “Most Attractive Forum” over at Delphi). Third, I found my Holy Grail finishing powder here.
Now let’s go on to my review. All the foundation samples I got were in the Luna formula because I prefer heavy coverage. I found my match in a mix of Themis and Hebe (but I still have to find a darker match for summer). Even with heavy coverage the foundation feels very light on the skin and I didn’t have a problem with any itching or caking. My face did not feel dry or tight and it lasted a whole day on me. However, it is hard at first to find a match because the website photos look darker than they really are although I heard that there would be new photos going up soon. I also noticed that one other shade that I got had sparkles while looking at it in the jar! I don’t know if that is the same case with other shades but when I tried it on, the sparkles were not noticeable.
Next is the Crème Toppings. I have oily skin and most of the time I want my face matte (but not flat). The formula I got contained kaolin clay and silica and it really delivered. In these hot and humid days, my face was matte! Butterscotch Crème was good for me but I still want to try out the other shades (and possibly get another full size). For not so oily-skinned ladies, there are 2 other formulas of the crème toppings: silk, no clay/silica and w/ clay, no silica. This is really an HG finishing powder for me.
With Dreamworld’s blushes and eye shadows, there is a wide variety to choose from. Most of them are a bit on the shimmery side but they are not sparkly. I still have to play with my other samples but so far I am loving them.
So go on over to Dreamworld and give it a try. A lot of ladies have and are very satisfied with it like I am.

Interesting name! Thanks for the heads-up. I have to try this out! ^_^
