[...] The last review I did on the Artdeco Mineral Foundation was when I used their tester at the local mall, and spend hours observing my skin. Now that I’ve got me a full pot of Artdeco Mineral Foundation, I was able to observe, and review it for a whole day’s roadtest! What I’ve noticed as I applied it on my skin was that the coverage was indeed medium, and it was very, very buildable. I was able to use a powder brush, even a synthetic one, that wasn’t the best makeup brush for buffing ( just because I was in a hurry and my makeup brushes were nowhere to be found that time ), and apply the foundation flawlessy. The texture is between coarse and fine, so I was able to apply a layer of mineral foundation as base, concealer ( currently using Cosminology ), another layer of mineral foundation, sprayed Nu Skin 180 Moisture Mist ( an anti-aging moisture mist ), and setting it with a sheer layer of the mineral foundation again.
[...] One day while strolling at the mall, I chanced upon Artdeco, a very under-rated, but very very nice makeup brand. I mentioned way back that they released mineral foundations, that were good enough as deparment store brands ( since most of the brands don’t meet my approval, sigh ). I said hello to the cheerful ladies on the booth, and I got surprised that aside from the mineral foundations they have it pots, they also added something new to their line - mineral foundations in powder-dispensing packaging, and mineral eyeshadows.
[...] For the finish of Purely Cosmetics’ Skin Smoothing Mineral Foundation, it’s matte. I might say this can pass for TV makeup for it’s matte! The finish sort of reminds me of Artdeco’s Mineral Foundation, but without shimmer. It dews up as skin gets oily and makeup sets, and it helps skin not look so oily. I was only able to realize that my skin was horribly oily when I used flash to photograph myself and as that nanosecond worth of light flashed, I saw oil ( My gosh ). Going back, this mineral foundation, I can say, does not look totally like 100% skin. When built up for coverage, it sort of looks like you have makeup on, but you will be able to see that the makeup look is totally flawless and beautiful. Take a look at my sister Suzie’s face, as she used the mineral foundation in Maria, to illustrate my point. [...]
