With any mineral power makeup the main ingredient you have to look for is bismuth if it has this in it, its not a proper mineral makeup.
At the moment i've been using Maybelline but i only got it to test mineral makeup and as soon as i can afford it i'm going to buy a better brand
I think when it comes to mineral makeup you pay for what you get $24 for something that doesn't do much or $65 for a proper mineral makeup

I really like maybelline new york mineral foundation if you suffer from excess sweating on your face you will find that your sweat comes out pure white and is quiet gross.. This product would be perfect if the producer takes out that ingredient that corses this problem..

p.s. I just read on Maybelline's "Beauty Mine" page that all the "mineral based" products EXCEPT the powder foundation and powder blush are "free of pore-clogging ingredients" e.g. waxes etc. The fact that they boast about this for their liquid mineral line and then quietly leave this fact out when hyping the powder foundation and blush is very misleading. Be wary of this so-called mineral 'power' powder.

I've been using the Mineral Power (hmm, nice play on words Maybelline)powder foundation and blush and my skin has become a minefield of bumps and blemishes! I have combination skin and large pores. This make-up does nothing to make my skin look or feel better, as I mentioned it's actually gotten worse. I logged on this afternoon to see if this make-up is non-comedagenic due to the breakouts that even my boyfriend has noticed. I read there is some sort of wax based ingredient in it - no wonder I'm geting all kinds of clogged pores, YUK! I'm throwing this junk out today. I would not recommend it to anyone with adult acne, large pores or oily skin issues.

I used the Mineral Power Foundation by Maybelline and so far my skin has been very very oily. I thought maybe it had to do with my new job and the air, but it really isn't. I like the makeup itself. It blends really nice, but the oily part is super annoying. I've decided to buy a face primer... hopefully that should help.

I just purchased the Maybelline Mineral Power's and I must say, I really love the loose powder. The foundation is a bit different, but I mainly use it around my eyes, and then regular foundation on the rest of my face. But that Mineral Loose Powder is awesome! For years I have had this red chest area, It was always red. I put it on my face, and the powder seemed to make me look like my skin was perfect. So I dipped the brush into the lid like the directions said, and I applied the loose powder to my chest area, where it's always has that reddish rosacea look to it. You know what? IT covered that reddish stuff up, and it looks just like the rest of my skin. I was totally amazed. I am 44 years old, and since using these products, I get compliments all the time on how radiant my skin looks.

Yes the makeup industries will probably jump on the bandwagon, and join the Mineral Power into their lines, but I must tell you...what ever they put in that, it makes your skin feel and look great.

Now I can wear tank tops again, and actually feel confident that my neck and chest area can actually match my face. It's a good feeling. Thanks Maybelline. :)

I have been using Au Naturel Glow since they opened in September of 2007. People say my skin glows, which is funny as that is the name of the company :). Anyway if you look at the ingredients and read the website they only contain 3-4 healthy ingredients and even help heal your skin of acne and rosacea. I have looked at the ingredients of Loreal, Avon and various brands and found them to be packed with at least 20 ingredients that are terrible for your skin. I would encourage the readers of this Blog to learn about minerals and what is healthy for your skin and all the chemicals can be harmful. Remember not all minerals are alike. Thank you.

I just purchased 3 products from the new Maybelline Mineral Power Makeup line last night. I absolutely love it! I've tried them all, even Bare Escentuals, being a loyal customer for 4 years. But this new line of Maybelline I would say is better than Bare Escentuals! I even bought the foundation of which I didn't think I would like because I do not like the heavy feel that foundation gives. But this foundation goes on beautifully (I used the Pure Beige color) and my skin looks flawless and actually looks younger! I also purchased the Mineral Power Concealer and also the mineral powder foundation in Pure Beige to change off from the foundation. I hope this line stays permanently! Its a bargain compared to the top brands and works just as well, if not better! I'm a fan!!!

This product is AMAZING. I've been using it since late December and there's nothing else I'd rather use. The only bad thing is that the liquid foundation gets really oily after a while. But other than that, I love the loose powder. I use it every morning. It's 10x better than all that expensive crap! Trust me, I've tried it all!

Hey Sophie! Thanks for the mention. I'm so glad you found my reviews interesting!

To be fair, the Mineral Powder Liquid Foundation doesn't appear to have any "bad" ingredients in it that are known to be particularly irritating for the skin. From what I could tell, it even looks like it actually has less ingredients than many other foundations out there.

Nevertheless, the formula doesn't appear to be anything unique!
