Mineral Makeup FOTD : Sarabeth’s Graduation

Looks like it’s graduation season again ( end of March ), and as The Blushing Vixen featured her gorgeous sister’s FOTD, let me just share my baby sister Sarabeth’s FOTD, whose makeup I did, just a few hours ago.

This is what the makeup set that I have prepared for Sarabeth a night before , since she planned on waking up 5 am in the morning, and her makeup was to be done at 6 o’clock. No time for me to think then!

I wanted a fresh, simple look for the graduating sixth grader so I chose the following minerals and tools to get the job done :

Tools:
1. Sephora Smoky Eye Kit - Pretty much a step by step routine on applying eye makeup
one big eyeshadow brush, one smaller brush for the crease, and one shader were what I used there.
2. Charm Kabuki - for buffing in foundation
3. MAC 187 brush - for her blush and finishing powder.

Mineral Makeup :
Pure Luxe Cream Eraser - to make her makeup stay, I applied this lightly on her face.

Monave Concealer Foundation in Caroline - for the first layer of foundation, I used the
Charm Kabuki brush to apply a very sheer layer of this to ensure that if ever ( it happens that ) the next layer of foundation wears off, there would be a “safety net” layer. Monave foundation’s my “safety net” foundation all the time because it never wears off.

Lauress Elemental Foundation in Pure Yellow - just because the finish of Lauress foundations are incredibly photogenic , flawless and beautiful. I used the Charm Kabuki to apply a second layer on her.

Oceanmist Saffron Yellow Undereye Concealer - Like my last entry on Sarabeth, believe me when I say that she sometimes has sleepless nights because of too much studying that I needed to brighten her undereye area a bit by using this corrector. Works like magic! By the way, I used the smaller eyeshadow brush in the Sephora Smoky Eye Set to apply this. Note that pre-teens don’t really use moisturizer yet so it’s either you find the area dry or it’s all good. If the area proves to be dry then make sure that you don’t tug, or else the concealed area would be noticeable as well, concealed. I also brushed some on her red areas ( just a lil bit )

Then, I spritzed the entire face with Nu Skin Moisture Mist.

Not in photo ( woops ) : I applied Jlynne’s Eye Makeup Primer on her for her eye makeup to hold. I dabbed some onto her lids. Then, it’s eye makeup time!

For her eye makeup, I used Lumiere eyeshadows - Theyre somewhat glittery but not noticeable.
Lumiere Eyeshadows used :
1. Onto the entire lid : Golden Chocolate
2. On mid-lid, blending up : Dulce de Leche
3. Creating a makeshift crease : Hazelnut

After that, I proceeded with blush, finishing powder, and illuminizer/radiance.

Lumiere Fresh Roses Blush
The name, and shade intrigued me so much, and well, it did really pull of a very very nice and natural shade. I love it. I used MAC 187 to apply this on Sarabeth’s cheeks, as I see her cheeks slowly look flushed, somewhat between pink and red ( it’s beautiful, I promise ). It’s what a great blush should look like. Sigh.

Silk Naturals Perfecting Finishing Powder
I applied this on her entire face to even out everything from foundation application to eye makeup - just to give the face a “clean sweep”, and make her skin look more flawless ( is there such a thing as “more flawless” haha ). Her skin’s not oily but it still works for her.

Lumiere Radiance in Bare Beauty
This is a surprise stunner on me - unlike any radiance’s that I’ve ever tried. It’s so subtle and unnoticeable that it just gave a “shy sheen” on the face that it doesn’t even look like makeup at all. It gave a very slight hint of radiance that it perked up Sarabeth’s face, that I loved it so much that I used my MAC 187 to apply on her entire face.

*Non-mineral : Lancome Lipstick, Etude eyebrow duo ( to give the brows some shape without plucking, she’s still a baby! )

Well there, I hope you loved the look that I have created for Sarabeth. Let me just share that I was so happy awhile ago that I saw my sister march and graduate gradeschool. Time just flies so fast that the little baby girl that I used to play with is slowly blossoming into a beautiful young lady.
