I am a contact lens wearer and have had good success with mineral based foundations, but cannot tolerate mineral based eye shadows. The powder falls in my eyes all day long (now I know what all-day staying power means), and I have to throw my contacts away after 2 to 3 days. I've gone back to regular shadows and have had no problem.

I appreciate your beauty blog, which shows you as a lovely woman of color ( i am too). i would like to see articles and feedback from others about mineral makeup lines that have pigment that works for deeper skin tones. many lines have a few choices but they tend to be pink or ashy so advice would be appreciated.

i am an organic consumer, i want to purchase and use mineral makeup because it is supposed to be better for your skin and therefore health. what do you think about companies, especially the drugstore cosmetics, who advertise the 'pure' mineral makeup that is just the same petrochemicals and synthetics and paraben preservatives ( the same as found in cancer cells!)with a few minerals thrown in?

the alternative is either the pricey lines or the great smaller brands that your blog has introduced me too. but gotta watch out for bismuth oxychloride which is essentially made from cheap metal so its a filler that can be irritating. would you consider making a list of companies that dont use bismuth oxychloride?

as a contact lens wearer and frequent travller i would also love to see an article that mentions companies who make mineral shadows and blushes that are cream cased or compact ( to avoid dust falling in eyes and causing irritation). again, formulas that are free or petrochemicals, synthetics, parabens etc,, and that are long wearing.

i appreciate any words you and other readers can share about those issues

thanks!
