Mineral Blush Review : Monave’s Damask ( Da Who? )

Monave Damask matte blush

The what? I’m singing praises for one of Monave’s matte blushes, Damask. Well, to be honest, I am not at all that fond of matte blushes or just about anything matte. To me, matte = flat.

One of my co-workers and close friend got Damask (well, you all know you influenced her into trying out mineral makeup *wink* ) and I got green with envy. Unlike its online swatch, Damask looked like a safe color of pink. Monave describes it as: ”… a neutral blush, and just a touch adds a blush of color to the cheeks.” This color would work for those with light to medium skin tones. Never mind that it was matte, when my friend used it I knew I had to get it for myself.

Lo and behold, Damask looked so pretty and natural. The “flat matte” effect didn’t last soon as it blended with my oilies. I looked glowing, and in love. :) This could be my everyday blush, or on days when I’m too lazy to put much makeup and still want to look my natural best.

The Blush Vixen

Mineral Makeup Girl’s Note : I agree, Vix! Damask doesn’t look like anythng on the site. It’s a pale pink-peach ( almost pastellish ), that is like Adobe Sunset. Adobe Sunset’s brown that turns reddish on the chees, and this one is a pale peach that turns pinkish on the cheeks! ( that goes even deeper! Haha )
