When I heard about Bare Escentual’s Rare Minerals months ago I was excited that mineral makeup companies are now starting to make anti-aging mineral powders. I wanted to try it out but the price was a bit of a hindrance. Good thing I found a good alternative in MAD’s Exquisite Anti-Aging mineral treatment. The website states:
“Treats These Conditions: Fine lines, wrinkles, firmness, hydration, skin renewal, radiance, calms redness “
Ingredients: mica, cab-o-sil, colloidal minerals, vitamins A & C, green tea leaf extract, nacre, pearl powder, shi jue ming, aloe, ylang-ylang & lavender essential oils may also contain: titanium dioxide, iron oxidesâ€
The ingredients reminded me of Larenim’s Dusk Til Dawn Treatment Powder which also contains Green Tea Extract. (I had a sample of this before which I loved because it helped heal zits fast). But this has more “good stuffâ€. This powder can be used by any skin type and a nighttime application is recommended after moisturizing. I got myself a 10 gram jar sample and have been using it for almost 2 weeks now. I use a powder brush to apply it as a final step in my nighttime skincare routine. In my limited time of use however, I wake up with a slight glow to my face. I also noticed my skin to be less oily than usual (hurray!) and some tiny bumps on my skin are now gone. Yeah, I guess it has helped make my skin a bit smoother. I need to use it for a much longer period to see more of its benefits. So far I like the results in conjunction with my other skincare products. I am definitely purchasing a bigger sized jar before I even run out of my present one. MAD has refill sized baggies in case you already have jars. Plus, they also have other great mineral makeup items you may want to check out, this included.
