Outdoing Myself with Milan’s Pigments

When boredom strikes, what better way to keep it at bay than to play with minerals! And I’ve got Milan Mineral Cosmetics to thank for that. ;)

I often browse beauty blogs to update myself with trends and techniques in makeup application. Once I saw a pretty shock-ing combination of eye colors courtesy of a popular non-mineral makeup brand. Bright yellows, greens and blues. Who would’ve thought I could do a li’l something similar? Until…

A closer shot:

Thank God for MilanMinerals’ “Do You” pigments! I made this look using the following:

- Bluezilla, a lovely vibrant blue shade
Bluezilla

- Milan’s Mojito, their version of the lime drink; and
Mojito

- Gold Myne, the perfect pot of gold
Gold Myne

The blue shade was applied to outer “V” and crease. It was way too vibrant for my taste so applied Mojito to the mid-lid, blending it with Bluezilla. And the inner corner was for the yellow/gold shade, which I blended too for a seamless look. Actually, it took me lots of blending to arrive with an acceptable eye color. Lol. Come to think of it, I probably should have used a brighter yellow color with a matte finish and not the golden shade. Anyway, to finish it, I lined my upper lashes with Tidal Wave, a nice blue shade of indelible gel liner with some shimmer in it.

Here’s some close-up eye shots:

The whole application process was fun. I’ve always had Milan Minerals on top of my mineral makeup faves list. They offer a wide selection of colors and different finishes. Oh, and they’re flexible to work with. See just how a blending here and there comes up with a completely different look. Next time I hoarding more piggies!

I love the colours and the way they blend.. if only I had the courage to wear something like that – maybe at night – but not at work!
