I was at the mall this weekend, and this woman pulled me aside to show me the wonders of mineral makeup and she used it in a multipurpose way. Thing is...I don't remember the name of the brand. Powder EVERYWHERE! My poor carpet will never be the same. Not to mention taking it outside to look at it in daylight, spilling it (I'm a huge klutz), and then having my dog walk through it. A white dog with purpley-pink paws! Here's a couple of tips and tricks (if they're not already mentioned in the book): Write down everything you do. I can't tell you how many times I've mixed some micas just to see what color I'd get (I'm color wheel challenged), ended up loving the shade, and never able to reproduce it again! If you're using a coffee grinder (which you need for the titanium dioxide), depending on the type that you're using, get some Press N Seal plastic wrap and put that over the top before putting the lid on. It'll keep the powders from spewing out all over the place. Wear old clothes - preferably something tye-died, since you're gonna look that way when you're done anyway!
