Okay, I really do think that before the year ends, there will be at least twenty brands that will jump in the mineral makeup bandwagon. Mineral makeup is the “it” makeup and is going to an upward trend.

Check out Maybelline Mineral Power.

L’Oréal is adding a mineral line to the Maybelline New York brand. Mineral Power will launch in January 2008, and although the launch comes years after the first mineral makeup line appeared on shelves, company executives are confident that the line will do well.

The line will include a foundation, pressed powder, concealer, loose powder and blush that incorporate triple refined micro minerals and are talc-, fragrance- and oil-free.

Mineral Makeup News : Maybelline Mineral Power Is On!

This one’s quite a popular mineral makeup product already since a friend of mine shot a “stock photo” of it. Haha, by the way, her name’s Phoebe, and shes a mineral makeup addict, too.

I was able to receive a sample of this from the lovely Monica last Holidays when Blusche and Beauty and Minerals were boothmates for two bazaars. Amongst others, I was always interested in trying out mineral veils because I am always in search for those with great oil control, flawless finish, and light-reflecting properties that would help you forget you had imperfections. Let me just share a random thought that I’ve had for the day. Yes, the day never passes by without me thinking about mineral makeup *wink*. For a mineral makeup addict, or even a user, one must have at least three foundation shades.

One being a slightly lighter shade, one your current shade, and one darker shade.

The lighter shade could be a last-minute concealer that you can use just in case your concealer runs out, and a shade that you can use during the cold months when the complexion pales by a bit. I have observed that complexions tend to lighten up during the months of November and December when the weather is cold. To counter the “lightened skin” effect, great addon minerals are bronzers ( not the muddy looking ones , not too orange ) that can give some warmth to the skin.
