First, let me say this- my lips, are worst in the history of mankind. Hahaha! They chap like hell, and my lip skin peels off most often than not – that’s why when I apply lipstick, usually it comes off with the skin! I oughta eat petroleum jelly, in that case!
Kidding aside, there’s one product I gotta love – and it’s Lauren Hutton’s Lip Pencil. This is one great product because first, it’s mineral makeup. As much as possible I’d love to use mineral makeup all the way. Second, it’s a really really good lip liner. It glides on the lips smoothly, it’s not pencil-y that you have to apply more pressure to be able to line your lips. In other words, it works quite great. Staying power is also good, so my Lauren Hutton Lip Pencil has been used and abused!

Mineral Makeup Review : Lauren Hutton Lip Pencil

Drugstore brands are easiest to reach because of accessibility, a little bit affordable, and sometimes, gives surprisingly good results. Of course, with the popularity of mineral makeup right now, even drugstore brands have their version as well. One of them, being Neutrogena.
Neutrogena earns my respect in the skin care department as I grew up using the brand. Until now, it has been one of the better affordable skin care brands out there. With mineral makeup? Let’s see!

Mineral Makeup Review : Neutrogena Mineral Sheers Foundation
One night, my fellow beauty bloggers and I were practicing some colorful eye makeup, and of course, pigments are the most vibrant eye colors, as mineral eyeshadows are the best in terms of color payoff and affordability!

Playing With Mineral Makeup : Aromaleigh Sonic Rocks

Just lately, I’ve been more experimental with eye makeup ( specially when I’m around this very talented person ), willing to study and explore alot of eye makeup styles to improve my craft. I’m a dedicated person, I’d like to think ( err hehehehe )
I used Neutrogena Mineral Sheers Eyeshadows yesterday for Suzie’s makeover session. Each item consists of two mineral eyeshadow shades. I have them in three, a Sand 40 ( Very Light Shimmery Brown and Very Light Shimmery Gold? ), Pebble 50 ( Shimmery Medium Brown and Shimmery Yellow-Gold ), and Stone 20 ( Light Pink and Light Violet ). I’ve gotten the light shades of this and realized that there’s a dark one – Clay ,that might be useful for an complete eye makeup look.

And we’re up for another review! This time, it’s Erth Minerals’ Mineral Blusher in Petal.
I have received some Erth Minerals products for reviews, and I have been roadtesting them for quite a while. So expect more posts about the brand in a few weeks, but I’m starting my review with something that I’ve been endlessly challenged about – mineral blush.

Mineral Makeup Review : Erth Minerals Blusher in Petal

I’ve been spoiled too much, and challenged too much with concealer in loose powder form that it was hard for me to use liquid or creme-based concealers – too much loose powder overload on my face. Hahaha! But then, makeup school prompted me to use liquids because of the unbelievable time pressure, and of course, everyone was using them. Good thing that I still have my liquid concealers in mineral form, and they’re my Cosminology Liquid Concealers.
There are four Cosminology concealers namely AstroBeach, AstroSand, AstroShore, and AstroKoncealer. AstroBeach is a skin tone concealer for light to medium skin tones, AstroSand for medium to dark skintones, and AstroShore for dark skin tones. AstroKoncealer is a yellow cream-based concealer for the undereyes and red areas of the face.

Mineral Makeup Review: Cosminology Liquid Concealer

With so much great reviews and recommendations from friends, I’ve decided to try out Dreamworld Minerals, as I’ve been told that they offer really good coverage, and flawless finished looks. The problem was as I started shopping, I just could not quite pick my shade because I was confused with the shades, the undertones, and the names as well. With the help of a friend, I was able to narrow down my choices to Themis and Quan Yin ( and one which never reached me, my sister quickly grabbed it ), all in its heaviest coverage formula, Luna.

…rather, it’s called Cosminology You Rock My Cosmos! Mineral Complexion Compactâ„¢ ( what a long term! hahaha! )
I’ve been steering away as much as possible from pressed mineral powders, preferring the loose counterparts because loose minerals are just the purest form of mineral makeup – pressing them would mean binders and binders mean chemicals and so forth. But the thing is, I’ve been bugged endlessly by my friends for nice pressed mineral powders because they just don’t want the spillage in their bags ( loose mineral foundations can be quite messy, I have to admit ), and they want something more “compact” , travel, and purse-friendly.

Last weekend was indeed scorching hot. My friends and I went to Tagaytay ( some highlands here that would be colder than the city ) and the beach. I was too lazy to apply any eye makeup because of the sweltering heat.
