Bare Escentuals Face Color For Spring

Friday 29 February 2008 @ 8:18 pm

As the weather warms up again, let our skin look just as warm and inviting as the sunshine! Bare Escentuals has come up with a new all over face color called “A Little Sun.” For a subtle spring glow, perhaps a faint touch of the sun’s warmth , as there is more to come in the next season.

Another new offering they have is their Light Stroke Fan Brush. I love it how they described the brush,

Mineral Makeup Review : Henri Calayag’s Mineral Wonders

Tuesday 19 February 2008 @ 11:41 pm

Just recently, a new mineral makeup line was born – and it is from a joint collaboration of master stylist Henri Calayag, and entrepreneur extraordinare Ruby Gan, and the line’s called Mineral Wonders.

I was given the privilege of trying Mineral Wonders to give my honest opinions about it, and here’s what I am about to do!

The Mineral Wonders line, as of today, consists of four mineral powders – Light Beige Foundation, Tulle Mineral Veil, Bunny Hop Cheek Pincher, and Mud Contour/Bronzer, as well as the Blood lip gloss, and a synthetic kabuki brush. They’re being sold in Myth (Greenbelt 5 ) and in Henri’s salon – Henri Calayag Salon, found on the Ground Floor of Greenbelt’s The Residences. ( Philippines. )

I was very giddy to try this first mineral makeup that is manufactured and sold commercially in the Philippines, because they all looked promising. And now, for the lowdown :

Mineral Makeup News : Maybelline Mineral Power Is On!

Wednesday 16 January 2008 @ 8:33 pm

Okay, I really do think that before the year ends, there will be at least twenty brands that will jump in the mineral makeup bandwagon. Mineral makeup is the “it” makeup and is going to an upward trend.

Check out Maybelline Mineral Power.

L’Oréal is adding a mineral line to the Maybelline New York brand. Mineral Power will launch in January 2008, and although the launch comes years after the first mineral makeup line appeared on shelves, company executives are confident that the line will do well.

The line will include a foundation, pressed powder, concealer, loose powder and blush that incorporate triple refined micro minerals and are talc-, fragrance- and oil-free.

Physicians Formula Holiday Illuminating Mineral Kit

Thursday 10 January 2008 @ 11:28 pm

The Holidays are over, but I don’t think it’s time to stop applying mineral makeup that just makes the skin glow. Illuminating mineral makeup further reflects light that gives the illusion of more even skin ( just in case one’s skin is flaking or with scars ), and imparts a fresh aura to someone so tired. ( Yes, faking a good night’s sleep and skin care regimen can be achieved for last-minute parties or meet ups ).

Physician’s Formula has come up with its Holiday Illuminating Mineral Kit that includes a mineral eyeshadow trio, and a mineral veil bundled in one pack.

The colors for their mineral makeup sets are,

Warming Glow – Warms skin for a sun-kissed glow

o Warming Glow Illuminating Veil

o Mineral Wear Quad Eye Shadow in Earth Minerals

Mineral Makeup News : E.L.F. Introduces Mineral Makeup Line

Friday 7 December 2007 @ 8:46 pm

This picture was taken from e.l.f. e-newsletter.

e.l.f.’s mineral makeup line may not cost $1, but their products are still cheaper than other brands. Individual pots go from $5 to $8, brush set costs $10, and kits are about $15-20.

e.l.f. offers four shades of foundation, four shades of concealer, five shades of blush, one shade of illuminating powder, and one shade of bronzer. I’m surprised that e.l.f. immediately branched out to several mineral makeup products, since most mainstream makeup brands start with only foundation. Continue Reading »

Aromaleigh Holiday Mineral Gift Sets

Thursday 15 November 2007 @ 10:46 pm

One of my favorite mineral makeup brands, Aromaleigh, also has their holiday gift sets ready, and let me just say that I love the concept! There are two gift sets, called Naughty, or Nice. Aromaleigh gets to be Santa, but you yourself can pick if you have been naughty, or nice, or give your friends the treat that they deserve jokingly! Haha!

If you’ve been playful or naughty, you don’t have to be punished this Christmas – maybe you’re forgiven for this special season! ( But of course, you have to mend your ways! hahaha! ) Continue Reading »
