Looks like we’re on the right track, my dear readers!
From the PCA Skin luncheon awhile ago, me and Phoebe were able to get to know Dr. Jennifer Linder, one of the top dermatologists in the U.S. It was a great experience being educated casually by a skin expert, as we learned alot about skin care, acne, anti-aging, and peels. I could feel her passion in her craft, dermatology, as she explained in a technical yet very understandable ( easy understanding, I tell ya! ) manner on how acne forms, and all that.

One great news that I’ve heard from my friend is that Aromaleigh, one of the really good mineral makeup brands out there, is going to start shipping internationally pretty soon. I’m so excited because I sure know what I’m going to get, and it’s their Ultra Resolution Finishing Powder.

With the success and numerous raves that Lauress earned with its new, very oily skin friendly Minimalist Mineral Foundation, I’m quite sure they’re not done yet. They sure know how to keep their loyal following curious as they have put a category “Ethereal Mineral Foundation” on their store, that as you click says, “Coming Soon.”

Mineral makeup is getting big. During my last visit, my dermatologist was just patiently listening to my endless trivias about mineral makeup, but when I visited her awhile ago, she was just telling me that they were everywhere! ( I warned her, though, to differentiate accordingly. )
Anyway, for my friends residing in the United States, this is a great event, and if you’re in the area, you might want to check this out!

Mineral Makeup is “In” For Spring!

Okay, I really do think that before the year ends, there will be at least twenty brands that will jump in the mineral makeup bandwagon. Mineral makeup is the “it” makeup and is going to an upward trend.
Check out Maybelline Mineral Power.
L’Oréal is adding a mineral line to the Maybelline New York brand. Mineral Power will launch in January 2008, and although the launch comes years after the first mineral makeup line appeared on shelves, company executives are confident that the line will do well.
The line will include a foundation, pressed powder, concealer, loose powder and blush that incorporate triple refined micro minerals and are talc-, fragrance- and oil-free.

Mineral Makeup News : Mary Kay Joins In!
This picture was taken from e.l.f. e-newsletter.

e.l.f.’s mineral makeup line may not cost $1, but their products are still cheaper than other brands. Individual pots go from $5 to $8, brush set costs $10, and kits are about $15-20.
e.l.f. offers four shades of foundation, four shades of concealer, five shades of blush, one shade of illuminating powder, and one shade of bronzer. I’m surprised that e.l.f. immediately branched out to several mineral makeup products, since most mainstream makeup brands start with only foundation. Continue Reading »
