I have tried the Lumiere foundations before in the Veena Velvet formula. I liked its coverage being medium to heavy and long-lasting. It just made me breakout from the oat content after I’ve sampled and found my match. I thought that was the end of my love-affair with Lumiere foundations (I still love their blushes and eye shadows though).

Recently I got to try out the sample of the newest formula in Cashmere which came with my pre-buy brushes. This new formula was formulated with no oat content for ladies who did not do well with oats in their foundation. Picking out a shade was easy because they run the same in depth and intensity with the other Lumiere formulas except for Luminesse which runs darker.

silk powder, serecite (colorless mica), titanium dioxide, zinc oxide, boron nitride, iron oxides

Mineral Makeup Review : Lumiere Cashmere Foundation

It’s been a little over a year since I started swirling, tapping and buffing with mineral makeup. This mineral makeup revolution has been around since the late 70s and I only joined the bandwagon recently. Mineral makeup has changed the way I think, and how I apply my makeup.

One thing that turns off some people with trying (or sticking with) mineral makeup is its form. Most are in loose powder form which makes application a bit messy especially for beginners. Summer may have bid us such a sweet good-bye here in the Orient and will soon leave the Western countries. But that doesn’t mean it’s time to put away our stash of bronzers. Okay, so maybe appearing all-tanned up would be off-ish at this time of the year. Good thing mineral makeup brand Lumiere has come up with something that goes on like bronzer, with the effect blush. My Mineral Makeup Haul

I was playing around with Lumiere eye makeup last Sunday, as I was trying to compose a great purple EOTD as my blouse was well, colored violet. ( haha! ) I had so much fun because Lumiere’s eye shadows are the silkiest in texture, and the staying power is good – it isn’t too pigmented that would give off too intense colors, but not too light that it wouldn’t show up.

I was about to post an EOTD ( Eye of the Day ) but the colors wouldn’t show up when I used my camera! It was too unfortunate because my friends complimented on how great my eye makeup looked. Somebody, help me in the photography department! Continue Reading »
