Looks like it’s graduation season again ( end of March ), and as The Blushing Vixen featured her gorgeous sister’s FOTD, let me just share my baby sister Sarabeth’s FOTD, whose makeup I did, just a few hours ago.

This is what the makeup set that I have prepared for Sarabeth a night before , since she planned on waking up 5 am in the morning, and her makeup was to be done at 6 o’clock. No time for me to think then!

Mineral Makeup FOTD : Sarabeth’s Graduation

I don’t own that many lippies but reading all those reports about lead in your lipstick (either they’re true or not) made me all the more wary about buying traditional ones. Luckily for us mineral makeup addicts, companies have made their own lipsticks and glosses using more natural ingredients.

I have only tried a few of them but enough for me to have my favorites.

Silk Naturals

This new company has one of the most moisturizing lippies around. I have them in Indulge lipstick and Birthday Suit lip gloss. Both these shades are neutral giving the perfect YLBB shade to anybody’s lips at the same time keeping them moist. It lasts a fairly long time as long as you don’t lick them off and gives just enough shine to your lips. Both formulas have creamy consistencies in tubes with the glosses applying more sheerly than the lipsticks. And for the price, you can stock up on all the colors you want (like what other mmu lovers did). There are a good variety of neutral shades to choose from plus a few dupes of popular brands’ shades.

The Latest Mineral Makeup Sales!

Here is a review of J.Lynne Minerals‘ foundation. I’ve always been on the lookout for great foundations because of my coverage issues, that I just can’t wear super light, or sheer coverage makeup because of my imperfections. Thank God for mineral makeup, I am able to transform my problem areas to nonexistent flaws that my friends always doubt or feel that I am fooling them when I claim that I have problem skin.

As I giddily checked out Aileen’s package, I went on to try J.Lynne’s foundation in a snap. I found out that I am able to wear both I/L Warm and I/L Golden. For reference, I use Bare Escentuals in Light, Hyeyeon in Monave, Y3 in Valerie Beauty, and Golden Glow ( or sometimes, Warm Silk ) in Jane Iredale. . My shade is somewhat medium, with yellow undertones that can tolerate yellowish beige tones, so Warm was still okay. I’ve received Light Warm during the summer, and felt that it was my summer shade.
