As the weather warms up again, let our skin look just as warm and inviting as the sunshine! Bare Escentuals has come up with a new all over face color called “A Little Sun.” For a subtle spring glow, perhaps a faint touch of the sun’s warmth , as there is more to come in the next season.
Another new offering they have is their Light Stroke Fan Brush. I love it how they described the brush,

Blues and greens are making a great comeback, and this year, and I bet, through and through, smokey eyes will always be hot. Sizzling hot. It’s in the runways, and I’ve seen alot of new smoky eye kits from various makeup companies, even smoky eye makeup brush sets! I must admit, I just love, love blue eyeliners because they give an instant oomph to the eyes, including a sultry image!
The Face Fashion: The Look of Now is a new set from Bare Escentuals ( Bare Minerals ), which showcases smouldering eye colors (two ) , an eyeliner shade, plus a light pink hued blush , and a pink lip color that make up a striking, but still elegant smoky eye look.

Bare Minerals Face Fashion: The Look of Now
Having seriously dark undereyes had been a problem since the word stress and insomnia introduced themselves to me. Thank heavens for mineral makeup!
With Bare Escentuals’ Well Rested and Ocean Mist’s saffron yellow concealer, I am able to look my best everyday. As if I had a good night’s sleep. Here’s a before-and-after shot of me with and without concealer:

Looking for your HG (holy grail) concealer is quite tedious, just as finding the perfect tools in giving you bright undereyes. I must admit it took me over a year (yes, I’m turning one year with mineral makeup!) to almost perfect applying concealer. And to be honest, I still am using a cream concealer from a non-mineral makeup brand to help in the staying power of my loose powder concealers. I rarely have any problems anymore, except when I over-apply too much product. I ended up looking like a panda, only that it’s a weird, yellow circle around my eyes. Lol.

I found an article at Savvy Skin ( Hi, Jenny! ) about mineral makeup being bad for your skin.
Well, this is a mineral makeup blog, and we might as well tackle the good and bad points about mineral makeup, right?

The good thing about mineral makeup is that it is devoid of harsh chemicals and preservatives that stress the skin more, clog pores, and aggravate acne or any skin condition. Of course, we would prefer natural products to be applied on the skin, and mineral makeup is the closest thing to natural because it has no chemicals and preservatives.
But then, there are other mineral makeup products out there that still have preservatives, and chemicals. And, I don’t deny that there are other people who react to mineral makeup negatively – their skin, that is.
Two reasons I have discovered. Continue Reading »
Can Mineral Makeup Cause Harm To Your Skin?
The Grand Mineral Makeup Day in Manila held during the Bazaarnival in Greenmeadows was a huge success. Girls and boys who were interested in mineral makeup flocked to the airconditioned function room of the bazaar to inquire, have their free makeovers, get their lootbags, and do some mineral makeup shopping. I have never imagined so much people who are interested with mineral makeup!
Let me just say that this was the ultimate mineral makeup wonderland in the country for two days? Never have I seen so much mineral makeup. It was like the absolute heaven for mineral makeup addicts to see a great variety of mineral makeup, that they can see up close in one location! I was lost in the vast sea of color, loose powders, and makeup brushes. Ahh, the weekend that commenced made me depressed as I am now in the real world! It was a dream world!

Grand Mineral Makeup Weekend in Manila!

Yay! Finally, Bare Escentuals has come up with an eyelid primer called Bare Escentuals Prime Time Eyelid Primer! I’m so happy!
Loose mineral eyeshadows tend to fade rather quickly because they don’t adhere to the skin without any sticky texture ( like a cream concealer or the trusty Urban Decay Primer Potion ). I’m glad that Bare Escentuals came up with this – and I’ll be sure to try this!
For those who have rushed to the counter as this was released, how about telling us how this worked on you? I’d love to know!

Leslie Blodgett, CEO of Bare Escentuals, once said “I don’t go a day without wearing a little Warmth.†In face, Leslie loves Warmth so much that she’s included it in her set, “Leslie’s Favorites.â€

The Mineral Makeup Blog’s first entry was about the kabuki brush. My very first mineral makeup brush was a kabuki brush. Its stubby handle stands out from the conventional long-handled face brushes. My first kabuki brush shed a lot, which made me switch to a flat top brush. I was very happy using a flat top brush until I got my hands on the famous BE Kabuki. Continue Reading »
