I thought Artdeco only released satin-textured mineral eyeshadows as they were the only ones I’ve seen at the local mall. Apparently, I was wrong! I was able to try Artdeco’s Mineral Eyeshadow in Black Diamond, and boy oh boy, it is nothing matte! Haha!

A Follow-Up Review of Artdeco Mineral Foundation

One day while strolling at the mall, I chanced upon Artdeco, a very under-rated, but very very nice makeup brand. I mentioned way back that they released mineral foundations, that were good enough as deparment store brands ( since most of the brands don’t meet my approval, sigh ). I said hello to the cheerful ladies on the booth, and I got surprised that aside from the mineral foundations they have it pots, they also added something new to their line – mineral foundations in powder-dispensing packaging, and mineral eyeshadows.

Mineral Makeup Mini-Haul : Artdeco Mineral Eyeshadows

Yesterday was a big day for me as I was able to assist my mentor in a fashion shoot for a cool and hip magazine in my country. As she was using MAC Cosmetics as base, she whipped up something like a loose powder and proudly said, “this is mineral makeup!”. I couldn’t help myself and ask, “may I see? ” and quickly checked the ingredients if it was indeed mineral makeup.
Turns out that German cosmetic brand Artdeco also has their version of a mineral foundation! The initial effect that I’ve seen on the model was that it was matte, it indeed had coverage ( but not as full as Monave’s, Illuminare’s, Buff’d, or even Cory’s ), it was reminiscent of Everyday Minerals but more matte, and just a wee bit more coverage. The glow of the foundation was very very minimal ( which was perfect for photoshoots and TV guestings since shimmer makes the face fat, as my teacher advised us ), and this got me and my classmate all curious if this was indeed as good as my teacher claimed.
