Bare Escentuals Prime Time : A Review

bare escentuals mineral makeup prime time

I’ve been intrigued by Bare Escentuals Prime Time the moment a press release about it was emailed to me. I thought that their Skin Revver-Upper was their primer, and it was too light to be a primer for girls with problem skin like me. I mean, Bare Escentuals has come up with its own primer -preservative free, oil free, fragrance free and all natural! I was even thrilled when I received a sample for review, because it was time for me to roadtest on its impressive claims. If it didn’t deliver, it would really crush me. Well, read on!

I’ve been looking for great primers all my life, and I am so happy that I’m not sensitive to silicone because it’s an ingredient found in primers that sort of resurfaces the skin into a smooth, flawless canvass. Of course, we need a smooth canvass ( our skin ) for superior and flawless mineral makeup application- it is a must. Well, as I started to roadtest Prime Time, I pumped some product out , and felt the consistency of a semi-thick transparent gel. I only got a small amount as I spread it on my face. As I spread it on my face , I didn’t experience any problems - the application was smooth. Just take note not to rub it in your face too much for primers are intended to be applied on the face rather than letting it get absorbed.

I went through with my usual mineral makeup routine, and the finish I achieved was just great - my pitted scars were less visible and uneven, my pores looked shrinked from its former enlarged sized , and my makeup was great. I didn’t have fine lines so I couldn’t testify its effects for those who have them, but with Prime Time being able to work with my pitted scars, a sign of unevenness of the skin, it just might work with wrinkles since they’re both unever in nature.

Now, for the staying power. I’m happy to say that Bare Escentuals Prime Time made my makeup stay longer. I have really great finishing powders here, but with my extremely oily skin, my skin looks the least, dewy, as the day passes by. With Prime Time, it has helped in a way that in a small bit, it controlled my oilies a bit more, or helped my finishing powders do their job a little bit better!

For the price of $21, this is much much reasonably priced than other great primers in the market. I can say that this is one of the latest additions of really good primers in the market, and I’m so glad Bare Escentuals came up with it!
